1. Two kinds of people
Creators use Bonbonto run their sites, lists and shops. Their visitors, subscribers and buyers use those sites. For a creator's list and customers, the creator decides how the data is used and we process it for them. For creators' own accounts, and for visitors to https://usebonbon.com, we decide, and this policy explains how.
2. What we collect
- Account details: your email address, name, handle and profile.
- Your work: pages, posts, products, files, photos and settings.
- Payments: Stripe holds card and bank details; we keep the record of each sale, fee and payout.
- Lists: the contacts a creator collects, and whether each email was delivered, opened or unsubscribed.
- Usage: pages viewed, device and browser, and approximate location from the IP address.
3. Why we use it
- To run the service: sign you in, host your site, send your emails, process sales.
- To keep it safe: prevent fraud, spam and abuse.
- To support you, and to tell you about changes to your account or these terms.
- To improve Bonbon, using aggregate figures, not individual profiles.
We don't sell personal data, and we don't use a creator's list for anything but the creator's own sends.
4. Who we share it with
Only the providers that run parts of the service for us, under contracts that limit them to that: hosting, email delivery, payments (Stripe), print-on-demand for merch, and error monitoring. We disclose data when the law requires it, and we push back on requests that are too broad.
5. Cookies
https://usebonbon.comuses cookies to keep you signed in. They are HttpOnly, so scripts on the page can't read them. We don't use advertising cookies.
6. How long we keep it
As long as your account is open. When you close it we delete your work and list within 30 days, except records the law makes us keep, such as sales and tax records.
7. Your choices
You can see, correct, export or delete your data from Settings, or by writing to legal@usebonbon.com. Subscribers can unsubscribe from any email with one click. If you are a creator's subscriber or buyer, the creator can help you too.
8. Changes
When this policy changes we update the date above and tell account holders about changes that matter.
